La Jolla - (Pronunciation [la - hoia], i.e. “lah-HOY-yah”)The community name derives from Spanish for "jewel" is an  upscale seaside resort community of over 42,000 + residents within the city of San Diego, California.  La Jolla borders Pacific Beach to the south and extends north to Torrey Pines State Park and Del Mar.
