Sorrento Mesa

Sorrento Mesa lies west of the Mira Mesa area and is home to San Diego's burgeoning telecommunications and wireless technology industries.  Bio technology research firms and support companies have also located in this area. Residential neighborhoods close-by provide homes for employees who want to live close to their jobs. The Mira Mesa neighborhoods also provide housing for workers.

The intersection at Mira Mesa Boulevard and I-805 is one of the busiest in the city each morning and evening. Residents and employees alike look forward to the opening of SR-56 in the near future and hope it will relieve congestion on Mira Mesa Boulevard and the freeway ramps.

One reason for the area's popularity is its easy access to beaches, recreation areas, University of California at San Diego (UCSD) and other resources.
