Clairemont   

Clairemont Mesa lies south of SR-52, west of I-805 and east of I-5.  It was one of the first post World War II suburban developments built in the 1950s and 1960s.  Two major canyons define the area--Tecolote Canyon cuts through the center of the community and San Clemente is on its northern edge.  Houses are built on the mesas. Many neighborhoods enjoy views of Mission Bay and ocean beyond; others have canyon views.

Commercial areas along Clairemont Mesa Boulevard, Balboa Avenue and Morena Boulevard provide shopping and services for residents of the area. Clairemont Town Square provides one-stop access to major shops and restaurants. Don't forget about the 14 plex movie theatre.

The area also is home to the offices of the Archdiocese of San Diego
