Carmel Valley

Carmel Mountain is located in the northern part of San Diego City, just south of Rancho Bernardo and north of Poway.  The area has easy access to I-15, SR-56 and the I-15 "fast lane" making it an easy commute to downtown metropolitan offices and other employment centers. 

There are approximately 12,000 residents who make Carmel Mountain home, enjoying its proximity to recreation, shopping and its convenient location mid-county.  Another attraction, the schools are run by the Poway Unified School District, the highest scoring district in the county.

Convenient shopping areas offer residents restaurants, retail shopping and services with ample parking.  Residents of Poway, Rancho Bernardo and Rancho Penasquitos use these facilities as well.  Residential neighborhoods are middle to upper-class; well-maintained open space, parks and golf courses give the neighborhood a rural feeling.  Many homes have spectacular city views.

SR-56's completion to the coast  added another reason for residents to enjoy this area.

The Sabre Springs area borders Carmel Mountain.  It was built as a master-planned community by Pardee Homes with lots of walking paths and open areas.  There are several golf courses in close proximity as well.
